Lawrence DiPaul, director of life and justice of the Diocese of Camden, has been elected to the Board of the Roundtable Association of Diocesan Social Action Directors.
The organization is the national professional association for those who serve on the staffs of Catholic bishops on matters of justice and peace. Its purposes are to provide professional support to members through education, formation, professional relationships and management development and to improve the capacity of social action directors to engage in the social mission of the church. The organization is based in Washington, D.C.
DiPaul began his three-year term on the board in March.
His responsibilities as a board member include attendance at two board meetings each year; service on committees; calls to members to encourage them to attend upcoming events, such as the annual symposium on social justice issues and diocesan social action ministry and the Social Action Summer Institute; and support for projects and the organization.
