CINNAMINSON — A fashion show and dinner called “Fall into Fashion,” was held Oct. 14 at the Riverton Country Club and sponsored by LourdesNet, part of the Lourdes Health System.
This fund-raiser was to raise additional money for a digital mammography machine that includes an ultra sound component for Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, according to Deena Daloisio, co-chair of Lourdes’ first fashion event with her sister, Diana.
“With the money already raised before the fashion show we now have a complete system,” she said. The machine is expected to arrive at the medical center by Dec. 1.
According to Kim Barnes, vice president of planning and development for the health system, a digital mammogram is a faster than the traditional X-ray and its superior images can help identify a person with breast cancer, which is a leading killer of American women.
LourdesNet is a network for young adults interested in philanthropy and personal advancement. Members of LourdesNet share interests in health care and for ways to impact the community.
