Holy Spirit High School will honor recently inducted Hall of Fame members Jack and Pat Parker of Brigantine as Legendary Spartans during the annual “Salute to the Spartans Evening of Dreams” on Friday, March 10, at the Golden Nugget Atlantic City. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. with a welcome reception, followed by dinner, silent and live auctions, and dancing.
Jack and Pat Parker have dedicated themselves to the communities in which they live, and in particular, the all-around support of Catholic education. The Parkers have enabled hundreds of students throughout the region to attend Catholic schools. No Catholic school has benefited more, however, than Holy Spirit High School, whose initial introduction came from their daughter Jill — a proud 1982 Holy Spirit graduate and Holy Spirit Hall of Fame member herself.
Jack Parker’s career took him from the stockroom of F.W. Woolworth’s to the boardroom as president and CEO of U.S. Operations. From there, Jack and Pat co-founded A.C. Moore where Jack ultimately retired as CEO. While Jack built an impressive career, he credits Pat as the true leader of their family and business lives.
Today as proponents and staunch advocates of Catholic education, Jack and Pat have made a commitment to Catholic educational institutions near and far. Over the last 20 years, the Parkers have quietly made extraordinary gifts to Catholic schools and to countless students and families to ensure young people today will receive the same values and faith-based education from which they benefited.
Tickets for the evening are $95 per person and can be purchased on the school website www.holyspirithighschool.com or by contacting Deborah Jewell, director of Development at 609-646- 3000 ext. 323. All proceeds benefit the students of Holy Spirit High School.
