CAMDEN — Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing celebrated its class of 2011 during a May 11 commencement ceremony.
During the ceremony, which was held at Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill, 38 students were awarded their diploma in nursing and an associate degree in science from Camden County College
Lourdes Health System CEO Alexander Hatala presented students with their diplomas and Lisa M. Easterby, dean of Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing, presented the school pins. Representing Camden County College were Dr. Margaret Hamilton, vice president for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Wendy Blume, dean of Math, Science and Health Careers.
During the ceremony, awards were bestowed upon the following students:
— Eileen Buono, the highest scholastic achievement award and the William Forrest Rahl Award
— Eric Leonetti, the Robert L. Rehermann Award for Excellence in Clinical Pediatric Nursing
— Shana Graves, the Sr. M. John Francis Coyle, OSF, Award for Caring
— Suzette Washington, the Jordan Middleton Award for Patient Advocacy
— Sister Monika Aleksandrowicz, OSF, the Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing Alumni Award
— Lorraine Farr, the Sister M. Elizabeth Corry, OSF, Award
— Justin Sacks, the Vincent T. McDermott Award for Excellence in Medical Nursing and the Walter F. Wabby Award for Excellence in Emergency Room Nursing.
