In these summer months, the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal and volunteers have been busy continuing their ministry of evangelizing in the heart of Atlantic City.
During a recent “Light the Fire” evening of worship and prayer, faithful and religious – including Sister Joseph Van Munster, CFR, above and at right – spoke with passers-by along Pacific Avenue, offering a free candle and the opportunity to light it inside nearby Saint Nicholas of Tolentine Church, Parish of Saint Monica.
Many accepted the offer and stayed for Eucharistic Adoration or quiet time for reflection inside the Romanesque-style church. Others stopped to hear the religious, such as Sister Ann Kateri, CFR, below, share Scripture passages.
