The Camden Diocesan Office of Hispanic Ministry is sponsoring a formation day that includes several workshops for those active in parish ministries and apostolic movements, on Saturday, March 28, at St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Camden.
Participants will learn techniques to effectively lead small Christian communities and prayer groups in their own parishes.
Silvia Mariella, a Paraguay-born Catholic songwriter and Spanish correspondent for EWTN’s World Youth Day coverage, will lead a workshop for pastoral musicians. Andres Arango, Bishop’s Delegate for Hispanic Ministry for the diocese, and Kathia Arango, director of the Office for Hispanic Catholics in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, will also facilitate workshops.
“It is important to provide space in our parishes for people to form small Christian communities,” said Andres Arango, calling the groups essential to creating “an environment to be with brothers and sisters in the Lord and through prayer to live in the presence of God.”
The 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. conference is $5 and includes lunch. To register or for more information, e-mail norma.guzman@camdendiocese.org, or call 856-583-6170.
