Saint John Paul II Regional School, Stratford, students honored Saint John Paul II with its annual school-wide day of service on May 14. Student Council led the prayer service to begin the day with each class participating in their own call to service. All staff and students from pre-school to eighth grade participated.
Outreach initiatives included: creating “Caring Kids Kits” for Ronald McDonald House, designing “Comfort Cups” for Jefferson Hospital chemotherapy patients, making greeting cards for nursing home residents and hospital patients, creating “Kindness Rocks” with inspirational messages to spread around the community, making pet toys for animal shelters and more.
