Students took a “romp through the swamp” recently, as St. Agnes Parish, Blackwood, held its annual Bible School for 120 Catholic school and religious education students, from preschool to fifth grade, from Monday, July 20 — Friday, July 24. The theme of the year was “Crocodile Dock” and each day students heard a Bible story at Bible Bayou, raised their voices at the Sing and Play Swamp Stomp, watched Chatter the Chipmunk’s adventures at the Dockside Drive-In, stopped for a quick break at the Snack Shack, and practiced their creativity at Crawfish Crafts. On Friday, the last day, Mass was celebrated and then families watched students perform a song and dance presentation. Above, Bible School students perform “This Little Light of Mine.” Pictured in the front row are Nicole Buonavolta, Juliana Scafidi, Rachel Buonpastore, Tommy Gardner and Alex Axmann.
