MILLVILLE — St. Mary Magdalen Regional School will take part in a financial education program for students.
Presentations will be held for students in grades K-2, 3-5, and 6-8. Trained bank instructors from TD Bank will visit St. Mary Magdalen School to teach the students about the new National Standards for Personal Finance and Economics. TD Bank instructors will discuss topics regarding the stock market, savings and spending, balancing a checkbook, and understanding credit.
Written to meet the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) standards, TD Bank WOW!Zone lesson plans provide educators with a resource for introducing topics such as the value of money, the difference between saving and spending, balancing a check book, planning a budget, and creating an investment.
