In a hotly contested high school girls’ basketball game, the Our Lady of Mercy Academy (Newfield) Villagers narrowly defeated the Wildwood Catholic Crusaders, 46-44, on Monday, Jan. 10. Although trailing 24-23 at halftime, the Villagers surged ahead after Bridget Dandrea scored 10 of her 14 points in the third quarter.
