The Diocese of Camden will conduct three evangelization workshops to help parishes to reach out to new members in the communities.
The workshops will offer suggestions on how to cultivate an active core of Catholics to serve as ministers of evangelization in parishes, homes, neighborhoods and workplaces. The workshops will provide practical tools for inviting inactive Catholics or those without church affiliation to become part of the faith community and making them feel welcome in the life of the Catholic Church.
Participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with tips and tools to be more active in the process of evangelization and to use the different gifts of the members of an evangelization team. They will be introduced to traditional and new forms of marketing to be more effective when inviting people to the parish.
The workshops will be for pastors, pastoral associates, pastoral councils, parish evangelization teams, parish staff and all those interested in becoming evangelizers.
The workshops will be held May 10 in the basement of St. Joseph Church in Somers Point, May 12 in the auditorium of St. Stephen School in Pennsauken and May 16 in Marian Hall of Our Lady of Peace Parish in Williamstown. All sessions will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
