Artists across the United States are invited to showcase the beauty of the Catholic faith by taking part in the National Eucharistic Art Competition.

All who enter are encouraged to explore the Eucharistic mystery and Eucharistic themes in their work. The first-place winner will receive $2,000. Total awards will amount to more than $3,000, and selected works will be on display at the 10th National Eucharistic Congress, exhibited at the Museum of Blessed Michael McGivney Pilgrimage Center in Connecticut, and displayed at other locations as a part of the Eucharistic Sacred Art Exhibit.
According to the official rules, artwork should be “executed in a manner worthy of the House of the Lord, depicting sound doctrine, inspired by Eucharistic elements of Biblical or private revelation of the Saints, Blesseds or Servants of God.” The initiative is a partnership between the National Eucharistic Revival and Saint Edmund’s Sacred Art Institute of Mystic, Conn.
The deadline to enter is 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 20. Artists may submit up to six works, with an entry fee of $25 for up to three submissions or $45 for up to six submissions. Those wishing to compete must be a U.S. resident 18 and older. Works must be made with traditional media. Photography and other computer-generated or digital art will not be considered.
