Deacon John Harrington, who has been living in Cape Coral, Florida, since 2015, died Dec. 5.
Nancy Harrington, his wife of 48 years, said he had been in declining health in recent years and died peacefully in hospice care.
Deacon Harrington was ordained by Bishop Joseph Galante on June 11, 2005. For the following decade he served in several parishes, including Saint Thomas More, Cherry Hill, and Saint Gabriel the Archangel, Carneys Point. He also assisted in the formation of candidates for the permanent diaconate.
