Bishop Sullivan has approved an administrative restructuring that is intended to facilitate communication among departments and to assist in on-going diocesan planning. Beginning April 1st, in addition to the Chancery, the offices of the Diocese will be configured into seven secretariats. Bishop already meets with the Chancery Staff on a weekly basis and will continue to do so. Bishop will also meet with the heads of the Secretariats twice a month beginning the week of April 12th. A few offices need to be filled or moved — those changes are not expected to take place fully until July 1st.
At the request of the Bishop, the director or coordinator of any office may be asked to participate in a particular cabinet meeting so that the heads of the Secretariats may be informed on a specific topic or issue. In the same way, directors or coordinators of offices may request to present information at a cabinet meeting when they require input from the heads of the Secretariats.
Secretariats are asked to conduct regular staff meetings, not less than once a month.
