The Black Catholic Ministry Commission of the Diocese of Camden announces the winners of the 2022 Taylor-Woodson Memorial Scholarship. Five eighth-grade students entering Catholic high schools within the Diocese were chosen based on their academics, recommendation letters, autobiography, parish activities and community service.

Alivia Harley of Saint John Paul II Regional School, Stratford, will attend Camden Catholic High School, Cherry Hill.

Maximus D. McNeill of Saint Teresa Regional School, Runnemede, will attend Paul VI High School, Haddonfield.

Maya Mieles of Saint Peter School, Merchantville, will attend Camden Catholic High School.

Chukwudi Obasi of Saint Joseph Pro-Cathedral School, Camden, will attend Camden Catholic High School.

Kampbell C. Wertz of Saint Teresa Regional School will attend Paul VI High School.
Funding for the scholarships comes from Black Catholic Ministry Commission fundraising events, specifically the annual Afternoon of Jazz and also monies received from the Black and Indian Mission Office grant. The commission thanks all who donated and continue to support the scholarship fund.
