People of all ages recently gathered at Landisville’s Saint Padre Pio Shrine for community, music and an outdoor dinner, followed by a Rosary procession in honor of Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina. Born May 25, 1887, he was canonized by Saint John Paul II on June 16, 2002. Every Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the spring and summer, Rosary prayer is held at the shrine. In the fall and winter, the Rosary is recited at the nearby Our Lady of Victories Church, a worship site of Newfield’s Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish.
