Bishop Dennis Sullivan stands next to the Diocese’s newest seminarian, Vincent Asselta, left, members of Asselta’s family and fellow clergy Father Adam Cichoski, far left, and Fathers Amadito Flores and Anthony Infanti, far right, after celebrating Mass on Aug. 6 at Church of the Incarnation, Mantua.
The Mass welcomed the new seminarian into the fold and served as his farewell before Asselta heads off on retreat and then seminary.
Asselta is a parishioner of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Vineland, and will be attending Saint Andrew’s College Seminary, Seton Hall University, South Orange.

After the mass and Bishop’s blessing, right, seminarian Ricardo Lozano Cruz, who is also attending Seton Hall, offered Asselta a heartfelt welcome. “I feel truly inspired by you, since one more time, God is talking to me through the beautiful desire that rests in your heart. There is a desire in your heart, Vincent, a desire that is not human, but divine, a desire that is not ephemeral but innate, a desire that is not a mere emotion, but rather, something that is unmistakable and extremely powerful. We are here to encourage you, to walk with you, and to help you, with God’s grace, bring to fulfillment the plan God has for you.”
