The community of Saint Peter Parish, Merchantville, gathered for a festive weekend Dec. 2-3 that started with a Christmas bazaar and culminated with prayer and a hopeful eye toward Christ’s Birth. During the two-day bazaar, children and families enjoyed fellowship, hot chocolate, a visit from Santa and the perusing of handmade gifts.
Above, after the 4 p.m. liturgy Dec. 3, Father Timothy Byerley, pastor, dedicated the church’s refurbished Marian grotto. The parish’s annual tree lighting took place afterward, as 150 firs began to shine bright in front of the church, and will continue to do so, until the end of the Christmas season.

Charlene Wurtenberger decorates her family Christmas tree dedicated to her father, Richard H. Boucher, and sister-in-law, Donna M. Wurtenberger.

Teddy and Maddie Calp enjoy hot chocolate during the parish festivities.
