Knights of Columbus from Our Lady Queen of Peace Council 6247 continued their longstanding tradition of honoring heroes on Father’s Day with a visit to the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland.
The veterans home held the party, with the Knights providing hoagies, potato chips and water for 100 lunch platters. Participating were Bernie Corona, a 91-year-old Korean War veteran, as well as Lt. Col. Andy Savicky, a council member and veteran of three branches of the Armed Forces. Of the nine Knights attending, five served in the Armed Forces. (Courtesy photos)
