Nearly 300 supporters of the Diocese of Camden were recently honored for their leadership and loyalty at the Diocesan Benefactors Reception held at Auletto Caterers in Deptford.
Bishop Dennis Sullivan, parish priests and clergy honored leadership donors who, in the last fiscal year, have given $1,500 or more as well as those generous faithful who have donated $50,000 or more to diocesan fundraising efforts including the South Jersey Catholic Ministry Appeal; Catholic Strong Campaign; Catholic Charities Diocese of Camden and the Catholic Charities’ Annual Dinner & Awards Ceremony; South Jersey Scholarship Fund, and the Diocesan Eucharistic Congress.

“Stewardship is a lifelong journey,” Andrew Goos, associate director of the Diocese’s Office of Development, said in his remarks to those gathered for the Nov. 28 reception. “As in any journey, there are notable landmarks and milestones along the way. … This recognition is an expression of gratitude, of respect, and it is a celebration of [donors’] ministry of support.”
The Office of Development also expressed gratitude for the owners of Auletto Caterers, who covered the costs of the evening. “Our staff is more than grateful for the continued generosity of Jim Auletto, and the Auletto family, to the Diocese of Camden for their ongoing stewardship in recognizing and honoring these gracious donors,” said Leslie Visco, the office’s events coordinator.
