My dear friends,
I want to take this opportunity to thank all those who have been praying for me in the last month when I had a serious illness. I have been in and out of three hospital settings. Thank God it is not directly connected to COVID19, but I do have a serious illness that I am working to recover from.
I thank God and the Blessed Mother and all the saints who have helped me to get where I am today with this illness. And also all the members of my family, I don’t want to name them, but, they have all been so good to me — just my sister Anne and my nieces and nephews, especially those who have experience in the medical field, whether as doctors or scientists, and those who have helped me get to rehabilitation.
I also want to thank the Bishop, the priests and the religious who have been praying for me.
I would especially like to thank the priests and people of St. Rose of Lima and all the people of the Diocese, including those of the Spanish community who I have worked with, and the many others who I have been told are sending prayers.
I would also like to thank all those who have helped me in my priestly work. My sister has read me some of the messages and I really appreciate them. I would like to personally contact and thank each one of you, but I can’t do that at this time.
I also want to thank all those who have treated me and shown me a lot of care and great love. Thank you for all the prayers at my current age of 95; I still hope to reach 96 in June.
Thank you again for all those who have prayed for me during this season of suffering we are all going through. This season of life has made me much more appreciative…It has made me wonder, where would I be without Jesus and the Church? I am praying for all of you during this time.
