Holy Week in the Diocese of Camden began with joy as Bishop Dennis Sullivan celebrated Mass on Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord at Saint Michael the Archangel Parish, the Church of the Nativity, Franklinville.

Prior to Mass, parishioners braved the cold March 24 winds while Bishop Sullivan blessed their palms held high, a remembrance of Jesus’ triumphant entrance into Jerusalem. During the Mass, all took part in the Gospel reading of Jesus’ Passion. Bishop Sullivan urged those gathered to fully partake in the Holy Week liturgies and spiritual opportunities offered at their parish and beyond.
“In this week especially, we find the strength we need to continue on despite the many difficulties we may face,” he said.
