Bishop Dennis J. Sullivan will celebrate Holy Week and Easter liturgies and services on the following dates and locations:

Passion (Palm) Sunday
(Spanish language)
April 10, 2022

11 a.m.
Saint Joseph Pro-Cathedral
2907 Federal Street, Camden

Passion (Palm) Sunday opens Holy Week, the most solemn week in the Church’s liturgical year.   On this day, the Church celebrates Jesus’ entrance into the city of Jerusalem.

Chrism Mass
Tuesday, April 12, 2022

3:30 p.m.
Our Lady of Hope Parish, Saint Agnes Church
 701 Little Gloucester Road, Blackwood

At the Chrism Mass, the bishop concelebrates with the priests of the diocese, consecrates the Holy Chrism, and blesses the Oil of the Sick and Oil of Catechumens for use in parishes throughout the year.  The Chrism Mass also manifests the communion of the priests with the bishop in the same priesthood and ministry of Jesus.

This Mass will be livestreamed at:

Mass of the Lord’s Supper
Thursday, April 14, 2022
7 p.m.
Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Saint Isidore the Farmer Church
1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland

This Mass commemorates the institution of the sacraments of the Eucharist and Holy Orders.  The Mass of the Lord’s Supper in the evening marks the beginning of the Easter Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter celebrations). Washing of the feet and a procession to the altar of repose will take place.

Service of the Lord’s Passion (Good Friday)
Friday, April 15, 2022
3 p.m.
Saint Gianna Beretta Molla Parish
1417 New Road, Northfield

Good Friday includes the commemoration of the Passion and death of Jesus with the reading of the Passion, special intercessions, a form of veneration of the Cross, and a Communion service. In accord with the ancient tradition of the Church, Mass is not celebrated on Good Friday.

Easter Vigil
Saturday, April 16, 2022
8 p.m.
Saint Bridget University Parish
127 Church Street, Glassboro

At this Mass, adult catechumens (those preparing for Baptism) receive the Sacraments of Christian Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist) during the liturgy.

Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord
Sunday, April 17, 2022
11 a.m.
Saint Charles Borromeo Parish
176 Stagecoach Road, Sicklerville

Easter, the greatest and oldest Christian feast, commemorates the Resurrection of Christ from the dead.  The observance of this mystery extends through the Easter season, which lasts until the Feast of Pentecost, a period of 50 days.
