Beginning in late September and continuing through October, Coadjutor Bishop Joseph Williams has been visiting the five deaneries of the Diocese of Camden, engaging with the clergy and laity through meet-and-greets, Mass and fellowship. These gatherings, occurring over five consecutive Wednesdays, have drawn enthusiastic crowds, filling churches nearly to capacity for both the Masses and the dessert receptions that follow.
At each event, Bishop Williams has expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm and spiritual welcome he has received since his appointment. He has consistently shared his surprise and appreciation for the outpouring of hospitality and support throughout the diocese.

The first event took place Sept. 25 at Saint Peter Parish, Merchantville, representing Deanery 1, followed by a gathering Oct. 2 at Saint Gianna Beretta Molla Parish, Northfield, for Deanery 4. On Oct. 9, after the time of this printing, Bishop Williams visited Saint Andrew the Apostle in Gibbsboro for Deanery 2.

Each event follows a similar structure: an initial meeting with the priests and deacons of the deanery, a prayer service, and dinner with invited lay leaders from local parishes. This is followed by a Mass open to all parishioners from the deanery, concluding with a dessert reception where parish groups have the opportunity to personally greet Bishop Williams.
Note: The Diocese of Camden is organized into five deaneries, each comprising approximately a dozen parishes from specific geographic areas. To attend one of the remaining deanery meetings, see the Bishop’s schedule.
