A one-day conference geared toward helping individuals find freedom in Christ, and healing and deliverance from afflictions such as fear, anxiety, hopelessness, and/or shame, will take place April 15 at Saint Michael Catholic Church, the Parish of Saint Monica, Atlantic City.
Father Giuseppe Maria Siniscalchi, CFR, who will facilitate the day, calls the “Unbound Conference” an opportunity to “activate the power of Jesus Christ, pull us out of darkness and give us hope.”
Through prayer, teaching, Adoration and music, Father Giuseppe, joined by lay women and men presenters, will focus on five key strategies: repentance and faith; forgiveness; renunciation of the lies one tells him/herself; taking authority over one’s own life, granted in baptism; and receiving the Holy Father’s blessing by opening one’s heart.
While sin opens the door for lies and bondage to enter lives, Jesus, whose sacrifice on the Cross redeemed the world, is ever-desiring “to touch our hearts, and liberate us from our fears, insecurities, sins and lies [so that all] can receive his victory and live the fullness of life,” said Father Giuseppe, who is from Newburgh, New York.
He hopes all who attend the event will leave “with deeper joy, confidence, peace and love for themselves and others.”
The conference, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. April 15, is being hosted by the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required. Visit unboundnewburgh.eventbrite.com. Free-will offerings will be accepted.
During the event, there will be opportunities for confession and Mass. Attendees are asked to bring their own lunch. Those interested are also encouraged to prepare by reading Chapters 1-7 of “Unbound” by Neal Lozano, available at heartofthefather.com.
