It’s once again time to dust off those suit jackets and dresses and pull out the dancing shoes.
Returning for the 32nd year in the Diocese of Camden, an “Afternoon of Jazz, Plus” will include music, food and camaraderie – all to benefit youth who want to attend a Catholic school.
Sponsored by the Diocese’s Black Catholic Ministry Commission, the event will take place from 2-7 p.m. April 28 at Auletto Caterers, Deptford. The celebration includes jazz by the band “To The Max” as well as dinner, dancing and fellowship.
Every year, the event benefits young students of Black and African descent who wish to pursue a Catholic education. On April 28, last year’s Black Catholic Ministry Commission Catholic high school scholarship winners will be present to thank benefactors for their support.
Auletto Caterers is located at 1849 Cooper St. Tickets cost $75 per person, with proceeds benefitting the BCMC Scholarship Fund. For more information, contact Lisa Scott Coley at 856-313-7443, or lscottcoley.ls@gmail.com.
