Ida Ann Castonguay, 93, whose son Daniel owns Abbott Church Goods in Cherry Hill, passed away peacefully Dec. 6, 2021.
Castonguay, a resident of Cherry Hill for more than 50 years, was the loving wife to Leo, who passed away too early in their journey together. The youngest of five, and the daughter of Antonio and Carmella Campagnone, Ida was born in Lawrence, Mass., and spent her younger years there.
After her marriage to Leo, they moved to the Bronx and later Teaneck, before settling in their forever home in Cherry Hill. She dedicated more than 30 years to working in the Cherry Hill School District.
Ida was a devoted and loving mother to Laurence (Elizabeth), Nancy Pastva (Ted), and Daniel (Mary), and to her grandchildren Laura, Kate and Brenda (Nick); Emily and Teddy; and Dan and Christina.
Funeral services were held Dec. 10, with entombment at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
