iRace4Vocations scheduled for March 31

Seminarians assist Bishop Dennis Sullivan at last year’s iRace4Vocations. Bottom: seminarians gather at the bishop’s residence at Christmas; seminarians participate in the Wedding of the Sea ceremonies in Atlantic City in August.

The eighth annual iRace4Vocations, an event that welcomes people of all ages to run/walk to both pray for and promote vocations to the priesthood and religious life, will take place on Sunday, March 31 at Sewell’s Washington Lake Park.

The day is designed to bring the six counties of South Jersey together in prayer for all to hear God’s call for vocations to the priesthood and religious life, as well as sacred married life and sacred single life. It is one of the diocese’s major efforts to promote vocation awareness and to support its seminarians.

This free, family-oriented day will begin at 1 p.m. with Mass celebrated by Bishop Dennis Sullivan, and continue with the 5K run/ 1 mile walk, a picnic, and musical entertainment.
