Above, Tricia Bradberry, founder and board member of Jersey Shore Women’s Center in Galloway, left, receives a $2,000 check from Jim Ricciotti, Grand Knight of the Msgr. William F. Doyle Council 7316. A number of Knights from the Margate council, in addition to District Deputy Ken Cutugno, visited the center June 19 to present the monies that were raised. During the visit, Bradberry gave a tour of the center’s facilities, which supports mothers and families by connecting them to job and housing resources; helps with items such as food, diapers and clothes, and offers parenting life skills. It also has an ultrasound machine, thanks in part to Brigantine’s Knights of Columbus Council 7020. The center will eventually receive more than $2,000, thanks to the Knights’ “Aid and Support After Pregnancy” program. Under the program, for every $500 that a council donates to a qualified home or center – up to $2,000 in the 2022-23 fraternal year – the Supreme Council will issue a grant of $100 to the same organization. The N.J. State Council will match the national gift, issuing another $100 to the center. (Photos by Neal Cullen)
