Mary McDonald, sister of retired priest Msgr. Timothy A. Ryan, died June 10 at the age of 86.
Mrs. McDonald was born on March 24, 1928, in County Kerry, Ireland. She sailed to America when she was 19 years old.
She was a member of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Brewster.
Mrs. McDonald was a member of the Catholic Daughters Court Bernadine and a Eucharistic minister.
She is survived by her three daughters, Kathleen Brophy of Carmel, N.Y., Margaret McDonald of Brewster, N.Y., and Maureen Herbstritt of Brewster, N.Y.; her two brothers, Msgr. Ryan, and Jeremiah Ryan, and two sisters, Nora Campbell, and Kathleen Collins, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Terence, sisters Bridget Higgins and Margaret Allman and her brothers Patrick, John and Daniel Ryan.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on the morning of Saturday, June 14 at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Brewster, NY. Interment was at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery.
