Parish Ministry leaders are invited to hear Father John E. Hurley, CSP, a Missionary of Mercy, speak on “Evangelizing Through Mercy” next month in the Diocese of Camden.

Former executive director for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Secretariat for Evangelization, Father Hurley was commissioned by Pope Francis to be a Missionary of Mercy during this Jubilee Year.

He will speak at the following times and places:

— Tuesday, June 7, at Saint Joseph Parish, Somers Point;

— Wednesday, June 8, at Our Lady of Peace, Williamstown; and

— Thursday, June 9, at Saint Charles Borromeo, Sicklerville.

Each evening runs from 7-9 p.m.

“In the context of the Jubilee Year of Mercy, these events will give us the opportunity to experience in a spiritual environment the merciful love of God, in order to be merciful as the Father is merciful in our evangelization activities,” said Andres Arango, director of Evangelization for the Diocese of Camden.

Sponsored by the diocesan Office of Evangelization, the events are free to attend. Contact the Office of Evangelization to register, or for more information, at 856-583-6170, or e-mail norma.guzman@camdendiocese.org.
