Friday Night Lights is back at Paul VI High School, but this year, shining on a new turf field. Before the Haddonfield school’s football game against Seneca on Sept. 16, students, staff, faculty and guests turned out for the official ribbon-cutting. The field, which will host football, soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, pep rallies, student activities and more, cost $365,000, and was paid for by annual fundraising efforts spearheaded by donors and students. Also unveiled before the game was a new scoreboard, donated by the Toy family, in memory of their late son, Edward “Ted” Toy, #57, Class of 2002. Joining the Toy family as a plaque bearing Edward’s name was dedicated: Michael Chambers, school president; Mark Ferretti, athletic director and Coach Dennis Scuderi Sr.
