New pastors, Cathedral rector appointed

Bishop Sullivan announces three new pastors and one new rector in the Diocese of Camden, all effective July 1.

• Father Adam J. Cichoski from PT Parochial Vicar, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Lindenwold, and PT Director of Vocations to Rector, Parish of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Camden. Father Cichoski continues as PT Director of Vocations.

• Father Jose Manjakunnel from Administrator, Saint Stephen, Pennsauken, to Pastor, Saint Stephen, Pennsauken, for a six-year term.

• Father Jason T. Rocks from Secretary to the Bishop, Chancellor for the Diocese of Camden, Director of Pastoral Planning and Adjutant Judicial Vicar for the Tribunal, to Pastor, Holy Eucharist, Cherry Hill, for a six-year term. Father Rocks continues as Chancellor and Adjutant Judicial Vicar for the Tribunal.

• Father George C. Seiter from Pastor, Holy Eucharist, Cherry Hill, to Pastor, Saint Mary, Gloucester City, for a six-year term.

Father Adam J. Cichoski

Father Cichoski, 37, has served at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Shrine since his ordination in 2017, and has been Part-Time Director of Vocations since 2019. He studied for the priesthood at Immaculate Conception Seminary, Seton Hall University, South Orange, N.J.


Father Jose Manjakunnel

Father Manjakunnel, 64, has been Administrator at Saint Stephen since last year. Ordained in 1988 in India, after studies at Christ the King, Shillong, and Morning Star College, Calcutta, he came to the Diocese of Camden in 2001. He served as Parochial Vicar at Saint Lawrence, Lindenwold (2005-2008); Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Berlin (2008-2009); Saint Simon Stock, Berlin (2009-2017); and Holy Angels, Woodbury (2017-2021). As well, he served as Chaplain at Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Stratford.


Father Rocks, 49, has been Bishop’s Priest Secretary since 2019, the same year he was named Adjutant Judicial Vicar for the Tribunal. He has been Chancellor since 2020. Ordained in Camden in 2002 after studying at Rome’s North American College, Father Rocks has been Pastor of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla, Northfield (2014-2016); and Saint Gregory, Magnolia (2010). He was also Administrator of Saint Gregory (2008-2010), and Parochial Vicar at Saint Ann, Wildwood (2003-2007); Incarnation, Mantua (2007-2008); Saint Rita, Bellmawr (2010); Our Lady of Lourdes, Glassboro (2010-2011), and Mary, Mother of Mercy, Glassboro (2011-2014).


Father George C. Seiter

Father Seiter, 65, has been Pastor at Holy Eucharist since 2009. A graduate of Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, Wynnewood, Pa., he was ordained in 1983 in Cherry Hill. In addition to Holy Eucharist, he has been Pastor of Saint Aloysius, Oaklyn (2003-2009). He was Administrator at Saint Veronica, Delair, in 2001, before being named Pastor (2001-2003). Father Seiter has also served as Parochial Vicar at Saint Mary, Gloucester City (1997-2000); Saint John, Collingswood (1994-1997); Saint Margaret, Woodbury Heights (1998-1992); Our Lady Star of the Sea, Atlantic City (1987-1988); and Our Lady of Grace, Somerdale (1983-1987). Other assignments include time as Director of Priest Personnel, Bishop’s Secretary and Vice Chancellor.
