The Office of Child & Youth Protection has arranged meetings for all the parish Safe Environment Coordinators.
Rod J. Herrera, Director of the office, says, “Whenever there are any changes to policy or procedure I have these meetings to keep the coordinators informed.”
Herrera will discuss several issues including the criminal history background recheck process, the informed consent form and working with individuals who resist the process. Parish Safe Environment Coordinators perform a vital ministry in the life of the parish by protecting the children entrusted into our care. These meetings will also provide them with an opportunity to network with each other and to discuss best practices.
These meetings begin at 7 p.m. The schedule of the meetings is:
Sept. 12, Christ the Good Shepherd, Vineland
Sept. 13, Christ our Light, Cherry Hill
Sept. 19, Holy Angels, Woodbury
Sept. 20, Saint Clare of Assisi, Swedesboro
Sept. 26, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Lindenwold
Sept. 27, Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, Absecon
Oct. 4, Our Lady of the Angels, Cape May Court House
