On Oct. 23 and 24, elementary and high school principals from across the Diocese of Camden came together at the Port-O-Call Hotel, Ocean City, for their annual principals conference. Over the course of two days, the principals were joined by members of the diocesan Office of Catholic Education and guest speakers for a number of workshops and presentations. Topics included an update on the Diocesan Middle States Accreditation process, the impact of social media and artificial intelligence on Catholic schools, and a new faith formation model focused on evangelizing catechesis. Attendees also had the opportunity to attend Mass with parishioners from the city’s Saint Damien Parish, which was celebrated by Bishop Dennis Sullivan and concelebrated by Coadjutor Bishop Joseph Williams. After Mass, both bishops joined the principals for breakfast at the hotel, with Bishop Williams having the opportunity to meet and talk with many of principals he had yet to meet.
