Sister Grace D. Pino, SSJ, formerly Sister Maria Goretti, who served at parishes and schools as an educator, musician, liturgist and pastoral minister in the Diocese of Camden and Archdioceses of Philadelphia and Newark for seven decades, died July 17. She was 92.

Born in Bridgeton to Salvatore and Grace (nee Barbera) Pino, she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph on Sept. 14, 1950, and professed final vows Aug. 8, 1958.
Sister Grace began her ministry in the Diocese of Camden at Saint Augustine Regional School in Ocean City, where she taught from 1954 to 1968. She went on to teach at Our Lady Star of the Sea School, Cape May, from 1968 to 1972.
Additional assignments in the Diocese of Camden brought her to Vineland (Sacred Heart High School, music director, 1975-1979); Somers Point (Saint Joseph Parish, director of music and liturgy, 1989-1996); and Sicklerville (Saint Charles Borromeo Parish, pastoral minister, 1997-2006).
In 2012, she began volunteering at Saint Padre Pio Parish in Vineland, where she remained until 2018, when she retired to Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown, Pa.
Sister Grace was also Regional Superior for the Sisters of Saint Joseph’s Area Delegate Office in Philadelphia from 1979 to 1983.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Santina Cantillon and Marie Randazzo; and her brothers, Dominic, Joseph and Anthony Pino.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and members of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. July 23 at Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Services will be live-streamed at stjosephvilla.org.
