Sophia Marziello, senior volleyball captain for Stockton University, Galloway Township, recorded her 1,000 dig against Madison’s Drew University on Oct. 14. The third-year captain and team libero also had three service aces. Marziello, of Christ the King Parish, Haddonfield, and an alumna of the town’s Paul VI High School, has played in every match the last three years and was elected team captain as a freshman at Millersville University in Pennsylvania before transferring. She is a two-time New Jersey Athletic Conference Champion, NJAC All-American, and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar Athlete. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and will earn an MBA in Spring 2022.
