The U.S. bishops are planning a virtual prayer event with the intention of uniting Catholics across the country in a moment of prayer for America at this time when there is so much unrest and uncertainty.
The Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary will premiere on the YouTube channel and Facebook page of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 3 p.m.
The USCCB will be using the hashtag #RosaryForAmerica on its social media channels leading up to the virtual rosary on Oct. 7.
“In every age, Mary’s maternal care is an expression of God’s providence, his plan of love for history and for every soul. And in the troubles of this present moment, we need to entrust ourselves even more to her care,” said Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
