The kindergarten students of Bishop McHugh Regional School, Cape May Court House, have probably never heard of the 1955 science fiction film “The Beast with a Million Eyes” (with a starring role for Dick Sargent, who later became famous through the television show “Bewitched” that ran in the 1960s and early 70s). The movie poster, featuring a creature with long fangs and a lot of eyeballs, proved to be more popular than the low budget movie. But, arguably, the Bishop McHugh children outdid the film’s advertisers when they created their own many-eyed monster — 100 eyes to be exact — to celebrate the 100th day of school on Feb. 18.
