Bishop Williams announces priest assignments

Bishop Joseph A. Williams announces the following priest personnel changes. All are effective July 1, 2026.

Rev. Thomas J. Barcellona is appointed to a second six-year term as Pastor, Our Lady of the Angels, Cape May Court House.

Rev. James L. Bartoloma is appointed to a second six-year term as Pastor, Holy Family, Sewell.

Rev. Schned Bruno, from Outside the Diocese to Administrator, Holy Cross, Bridgeton.

Rev. E. Joseph Byerley is appointed to a second six-year term as Pastor, Holy Angels, Woodbury.

Rev. Rene L. Canales is appointed to a second six-year term as Pastor, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Shrine, Lindenwold.

Rev. Allain B. Caparas is appointed to a second six-year term as Pastor, Mary, Mother of Mercy, Glassboro.

Rev. Perry A. Cherubini is appointed to a second six-year term as Pastor, Saint Joseph, Sea Isle City.

Rev. Cosme R. de la Peña is appointed to a second six-year term as Pastor, Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, Absecon.

Rev. Robert J. D’Imperio, from Parochial Vicar, Saint Joseph Pro-Cathedral, Camden, to Administrator, Saint Joseph Pro-Cathedral, Camden.

Rev. Peter Gallagher is appointed Administrator of Our Lady of the Lakes, Collings Lakes (summer assignment). Father Gallagher remains Part-Time Director of Catholic Identity, Gloucester Catholic High School, and Part-Time Parochial Vicar, Saint Mary, Gloucester.

Rev. David A. Grover is appointed to a second six-year term as Pastor, Saint Rose of Lima, Haddon Heights.

Rev. Vincent G. Guest is appointed to a second six-year term as Pastor, Sacred Heart, Camden. Father Guest remains Episcopal Vicar for the City of Camden.

Rev. Jaime E. Hostios, from Pastor, Saint Joseph Pro-Cathedral, Camden, to Pastor, Saint John Neumann, North Cape May, for a six-year term.

Rev. Msgr. Peter M. Joyce, from Pastor, Saint Charles Borromeo, Sicklerville, to Pastor, Saint Damien, Ocean City, for a six-year term.

Rev. Edward M. Kennedy, from Pastor, Saint Clare of Assisi, Gibbstown, to Pastor, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Galloway, for a six-year term.

Rev. James H. King, from Pastor, Saint John Neumann, North Cape May, to Pastor, Saint Mary of Mount Carmel, Hammonton, for a six-year term.

Rev. Ricardo Lozano Cruz, from Part-Time Parochial Vicar, Parish of Saint Monica, Atlantic City, and Part-Time Associate Director of Vocations, to Administrator, Saint Clare of Assisi, Gibbstown.

Rev. Anthony J. Manuppella, from Pastor, Saint Gianna Beretta Molla, Northfield, to Retired.

Rev. Gerard C. Marable, from Pastor, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Galloway, to Retired.

Rev. Thomas A. Newton, from Pastor, Saint Damien, Ocean City, to Pastor, Saint Charles Borromeo, Sicklerville, for a six-year term. Father Newton remains Episcopal Vicar for Synodality, Director of Clergy Personnel and Advocate for Priest’s Wellness.

Rev. Thanh Q. Pham, from Parochial Vicar, Holy Family, Sewell, to Administrator, Saint Gianna Beretta Molla, Northfield.

Rev. John P. Picinic is appointed to a second six-year term as  Pastor, Christ Our Light, Cherry Hill.

Rev. Steven Pinzon is assigned to Advanced Studies in Canon Law at The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. (summer assignment). Father Pinzon remains Pastor of Our Lady of the Lakes, Collings Lakes.

Rev. Lawrence E. Polansky, from Parochial Vicar, Our Lady of Hope Blackwood, to Parochial Vicar, Holy Family, Sewell.

Rev. Jose C. Ramos, A.M., is appointed to a second six-year term as Pastor, Saint Katharine Drexel, Egg Harbor Township.

Rev. Stephen Robbins, from Administrator, Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Camden, to Part-Time Parochial Vicar, Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Camden. Father Robbins remains Part-Time Associate Director of Vocations.

Rev. David Rivera, from Pastor, Saint Mary of Mount Carmel, Hammonton, to Rector, Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Camden.

Rev. John A. Rossi is appointed to a second six-year term as Pastor, Saint Bridget University Parish, Glassboro.

Rev. Cesar Pirateque Serrano, from Parochial Vicar, Saint John Neumann, North Cape May, to Director of Prison Ministry and Part-Time Associate Director of Vocations, In-Residence, Our Lady of Hope, Blackwood. 

Rev. Joseph T. Szolack, from Interim Director of Vocations to Director of Vocations. Father Szolack remains Pastor, Our Lady of Hope, Blackwood.

Rev. Jon Thomas is appointed to a second six-year term as Pastor, Christ the King, Haddonfield. Father Thomas remains Vicar General.

Rev. Matthew Weber, from Pastor, Holy Cross, Bridgeton, to Interval for Rest and Recuperation in view of an assignment as Parochial Vicar Holy Cross, Bridgeton.
