Summer is often synonymous with outdoor celebrations and picnics, which certainly has been the case in parishes across South Jersey. During August, the community at Our Lady of Peace Parish, Williamstown, above, came together in hopes of rejuvenating the Filipino Ministry, the participation of which was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. On a recent sunny Sunday, line-dancers performed as families and clergy including Father Sanjai Devis, VC, below, enjoyed food, music, games and prizes. In addition, a free-will donation was collected to help support parish youth attending the National Catholic Youth Conference this November in Indianapolis. (Photos by Joachim Cendana)

At the beginning of the month, the parish community of Saint Clare of Assisi, Swedesboro, below, enjoyed an afternoon of food and fun, which included young people selling their homemade wares. Those from Guardian Angels Regional School, Paulsboro, including Sister Jerilyn Einstein, FMIJ, principal, below, stopped by for the festivities, too! (Photos by Alan M. Dumoff)
