Bishop Dennis Sullivan will ordain Rev. Mr. Kevin Mohan to the priesthood on Saturday, May 18, 10:30 a.m., at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden.

The next day, Father Mohan will celebrate his first Mass at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and Shrine at St. Lawrence Church in Lindenwold where he served as a transitional deacon.

Rev. Mr. Mohan, 28, of Blackwood is a graduate of Camden Catholic High School, Cherry Hill; St. Charles Seminary, Overbrook, Pa.; Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio; and St. Mary’s Seminary and University, Baltimore. His studies also included a summer in Mexico and a pastoral year at St. Joseph’s Pro-Cathedral, Camden.

In a 2012 piece for the Catholic Star Herald, Rev. Mr. Mohan wrote that while astudent at Franciscan University, he was attending Mass at St. Agnes Church, Blackwood, when the visiting homilist picked him out of the congregation and asked him if he wanted to be a priest. “God was trying to get my attention,” he wrote.
