Deacon Thomas G. Moleski, 71, died Aug. 22 in Philadelphia.
Ordained June 11, 2005, to the permanent diaconate for the Diocese of Camden, Deacon Moleski was first assigned to Saint Francis of Assisi Parish (now Divine Mercy), Vineland.
Born June 19, 1951, in Philadelphia to the late Thomas Moleski and Barbara (Arnoldin) Moleski, he married Bonny-Lee (House) in 1972; the couple had three children.
Deacon Moleski began his career in tabletop product development and marketing with Orrefors Glassworks before transitioning to Durand Glass Manufacturing/Arc International in Millville. He retired in 2016.
“He loved experiencing beauty through travel and enjoyed sharing a special glass of wine with those whose friendship he cherished, but he was most passionate about his faith. The relationships forged through Cursillo, Lion of Judah, and his community of Franciscans [secular] served to guide, form and inspire him to answer the call to ordained ministry. He considered it a tremendous blessing to know and serve the parishioners,” his family said in announcing his death.
Deacon Moleski is survived by his wife, their children and grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on August 29 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Divine Mercy Parish, 23 West Chestnut Ave., Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
