Father Carmen Anthony Carlone, who served as pastor of four parishes since 1985, will retire on Feb. 6.
Father Carlone, 66, has been pastor of St. Joseph Parish, Hammonton, since 2006. Previously he was pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Vineland, 1985-92; St. Mary, Williamstown, 1992-2004; and Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Berlin, 2004-06.
Originally from Penns Grove, he studied in Rome and was ordained there Dec. 19, 1969.
He was parochial vicar of St. Ann Parish, Wildwood, 1970-74, and St. Stephen, Pennsauken, 1974-80, and then served as administrator of St. Francis of Assisi, Vineland, for five years before becoming pastor there.
Father Carlone served as a member of the Inter-Parochial Board, Priests Council and Presbyterial Council, and as spiritual moderator for Separated and Divorced Catholics in the Diocese of Camden.
