Kayla McMennamin, Maariah Kepegkin and Patrick Staepel dance during the Feast of All Irish Saints at Holy Family Parish, Sewell, on Friday, Nov. 6. Father Robert Hughes, pastor, who opened the evening with an Irish blessing, expressed his gratitude to the many individuals and businesses who supported the celebration. Tommy Lasalle (Philadelphia Boys Choir), a Holy Family parishioner, sang the Irish National anthem in Gaelic. Irish Step Dancing performances were presented by the Coyle School of Irish Step Dancing Championship Dancers. Entertainment was provided by the Hooligans of Philadelphia, which included traditional Irish tunes, set dances and a mix of American music. A basket auction included belleek china, glassware, art (“St. Bridget of 100,000 Welcomes” by Brother Mickey O’Neill McGrath) and more. The event is scheduled for next year on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010.
