Holy Spirit remembers 2007 graduate

Holy Spirit High School students, faculty and staff raised $1,500 for the American Cancer Society’s Coaches vs. Cancer Program. The money was donated in memory of Jessica DeDario, a 2007 Holy Spirit graduate and softball standout who lost her battle with cancer Jan. 14, 2010.

“Jesse was not only an outstanding athlete and student, she was a very special part of the Spartan Family,” said Keith Gorman, Holy Spirit High School athletic director. “To raise $1,500 and be able to make this donation in honor of Jesse is a testament to the special place Jesse holds in our hearts here at Spirit.”

Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
