On Jan. 14 Bishop Dennis Sullivan, along with pastors, parish teams and administrative officials, kicked off the 2014 House of Charity-Bishop’s Annual Appeal campaign, which for 50 years has provided for health, social and welfare services for needy people in the Camden Diocese. During the kickoff, held at St. Padre Pio Parish in Vineland, a video was shown illustrating the programs and individuals served through the over $7 million collected through the House of Charity in the past year. In addition, Bishop Sullivan presented the first return checks, totaling more than $272,000, to 37 parishes that have collected their goal for the 2013 campaign.
