The diocesan Office of Hispanic Ministry has started a new weekly Lenten video series designed to bring Hispanic Catholics “spiritually together” in this penitential time, says Andres Arango, Bishop’s Delegate for Hispanic Ministry and Director of Evangelization for the Diocese of Camden.
The series’ theme, “Look, we are going up to Jerusalem (Matthew 20:18),” is taken from Pope Francis’ Introduction in his 2021 Lenten message, “Lent: A Time for Renewing Faith, Hope and Love.”
The weekly videos, all on Facebook at www.facebook.com/MinisterioHispanoDOC, will be led by a different ordained or lay individual currently ministering to South Jersey’s Hispanic Catholics, and include meditations on such topics as prayer, fasting, charity, hope and reconciliation.
From now until Wednesday, March 31, the day before Holy Thursday, the recorded programs will “create a sense of journeying together for Hispanic Catholics in this Lenten time,” Arango says.
