On Wednesday, Feb. 22, the Parish of Saint Monica is hosting a Mass to pray for the success of the Atlantic City area business community. The Mass will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Saint Nicholas of Tolentine Church.
“Many Atlantic City businesses are persevering in a challenging environment. At this Mass we will ask God to bless the work of their hands so that the whole community will be raised up,” said Father Jon Thomas, pastor of the Parish of Saint Monica.
“As Catholic business people we need both hard work and God’s grace to be successful,” says Atlantic City Councilman Jesse O. Kurtz. “The Mass for business leaders will remind us to both do well and do good in our endeavors of commerce.”
“Many of those attending this Mass represent the cornerstone of our business community,” says Cathy Burke, owner of The Irish Pub. “It is only fitting that we come together to overcome the challenges we face. This Mass represents our faith and hope for our community. Time after time history has shown how Atlantic City earned its title as the ‘Queen of Resorts.’”
Business leaders are encouraged to contact the Parish Office at 609-345-1878 with any questions.
The Mass is open to the public.
