Bishop Joseph A. Galante has named Msgr. William P. Brennan, pastor, Christ the King, Haddonfield, for a six-year term beginning June 26.
Msgr. Brennan, 72, is currently pastor of St. Pius X Parish, Cherry Hill, where he has served since 1997. Previously, he was pastor of Church of the Incarnation Parish, Mantua, from 1985-97.
Msgr. Brennan served in the field of Catholic education for a number of years.
He was also a faculty member at Gloucester Catholic High School in Gloucester, and Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill, and eventually became principal of both schools.
He was born in Staten Island, N.Y., and studied at Immaculate Conception Seminary in Darlington, N.J. On May 25, 1963, he was ordained a priest in Camden, by Archbisop Celestine J. Damiano. He served as a member of the Priest Personnel Board, the Presbyteral Council and the College of Consultors. He also has been a Pre-Cana team moderator.
